Wannon Falls – Hamilton

Description

About 20 kilometres west of Hamilton, in Victoria, Australia, are the well-known natural landmarks known as Wannon Falls. The falls are located in the Wannon River, which rushes through a deep valley and crashes over several rock ledges before dropping 30 metres into a deep pool below.

Visitors may explore the area's natural beauty and have a pleasant day at the Wannon Falls Reserve, which is located around the falls and has a variety of walking trails and picnic areas. In addition, a wide diversity of flora and wildlife, including koalas, echidnas, and other bird species, may be found inside the reserve.

Hiking along the 2-kilometre Wannon Falls Trail, which runs through the reserve and gives breathtaking views of the falls and surrounding landscape, is one of the most well-liked activities for visitors to Wannon Falls. It takes around 45 minutes to finish the walk, which is rated as moderately strenuous.

The reserve also has several picnic sites, including a covered pavilion with a view of the falls and a fantastic place for a barbeque or family meal. Despite the depth of the water and the powerful currents, visitors may also enjoy swimming in the pool below the falls.

The Grampians National Park, which offers a variety of hiking and outdoor activities, and the historic town of Hamilton, which has a variety of lodging, eating, and retail opportunities, are attractions close by.

Wannon Falls is a magnificent natural attraction that allows tourists to discover Australia's natural environment's richness and beauty and feel the rush of being on the verge of a rumbling waterfall. Wannon Falls is a beautiful place to visit whether you enjoy the outdoors, hiking, or seeking a relaxed day.
